Kairo Studio is one person, and puts a face to it.
My name is Mikel Fernández, I'm 24 and I work
from Bilbao. I've been coding for five years and I trained at
42 Urduliz: a campus with no classes and no
teachers, where you learn by solving real projects and defending
them in front of other students. It sounds odd, and it is, but
it teaches you something no template can: how to build things
properly under the hood, and to answer for them.
Beyond web development I work with systems, cybersecurity and
artificial intelligence. I don't mention it to show off: I
mention it because it's the reason your website loads fast,
doesn't break on an old phone, and doesn't depend on ten plugins
that might stop working one day.
I'd rather deliver few websites and have each one done properly
than fill a catalogue of templates with the logo swapped out.
I work alone. That means the person who answers the phone, the
one who designs and the one who codes are the same person: no
salespeople promising things nobody ends up building.
